Piotr Sieńko is a Ph.D graduate in social science. He is a practitioner in such areas as crisis management, security and social communication. His professional and scientific interests focus around issues related to the functioning of infrastructure, civil protection, strategic communication and crisis communication.

He is a political scientist (MA in contemporary international relations). He also graduated in:

  • National Security at the University of Warsaw
  • National Economic Security Management at Collegium Civitas in Warsaw.

In 2019, at the Faculty of Political Science of the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, he obtained a doctoral degree in social science, defending a dissertation on the classification of the state`s strategic resources. During the research conducted for the purposes of the dissertation, he analysed the telecommunications and media sectors.

In recent years, Piotr Sieńko has worked in administration and for several large business entities in the infrastructure sector. He also worked at the Institute of Polish Strategy in Warsaw, where he dealt with cross-sectoral connections in the economy. He took part in analytical and conceptual work on social, economic and international situation of Poland during the creation of strategic programs developed by the Institute, aimed at increasing the country’s development and improvement of the national economic and geopolitical potential.

He is an auditor of Business Continuity Management Systems and Information Security Management Systems. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program: Protecting Soft Targets Against Terrorist Attacks.

Earlier, for over a decade, he was a press journalist. He worked in Poland and in the United Kingdom. He wrote, among others, for Gazeta Wyborcza, Polska The Times, Rzeczpospolita, Super Express and Życie Warszawy. In 2010, he was the deputy editor-in-chief of the financial weekly magazine – Gazeta Finansowa. He is a mountain rescue team member of the GOPR.
